Law Enforcement & Community Partnerships
Strengthening trust, collaboration, and pathways to care
responses at the intersection of health and justice depend on strong partnerships between law enforcement and the communities they serve. Through Law Enforcement and Community Partnerships, TASC’s Center for Health and Justice helps build collaborative approaches that prioritize safety, dignity, and access to care.
CHJ works alongside law enforcement agencies, public health leaders, service providers, and community organizations to develop strategies that support deflection, diversion, and crisis response. This work emphasizes shared responsibility, clear roles, and coordinated decision-making.
Our partnerships focus on aligning public safety goals with health-based solutions, equipping officers and community partners with the tools, training, and relationships needed to respond effectively to substance use, mental health needs, and other complex challenges.
By fostering collaboration and mutual trust, CHJ helps communities strengthen public safety, reduce harm, and create more just and compassionate systems that serve both individuals and neighborhoods.
